The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES CGC-2015-A is a Type C cam and groove reducing coupler designed for fast, tool-free connections in fluid transfer applications. It features a 2-inch female coupler on one end and a 1-1/2-inch hose shank on the other, making it a practical solution when stepping down between two different line sizes. Constructed from aluminum, the fitting handles a maximum operating pressure of 250 psi and accommodates a casting temperature range of -150 to 250 degrees F. The included NBR gasket is rated for service between -40 and 212 degrees F. Plumbers, industrial maintenance technicians, and fluid handling crews install this type of fitting across irrigation, chemical transfer, and general industrial hose systems.
This coupler is suited for applications where a quick-connect hose fitting must bridge two line sizes without the need for threaded adapters or union fittings. The aluminum construction keeps weight low while offering adequate corrosion resistance for water, mild chemicals, and petroleum-based fluids compatible with NBR elastomers. It is commonly found in agricultural irrigation setups, tank truck hose connections, portable pumping systems, and industrial fluid transfer rigs where cam and groove fittings are the site standard.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation cam and groove fitting for systems using Type C aluminum couplers with a 2-inch female coupler inlet and a 1-1/2-inch hose shank outlet.
Installation is typically performed by plumbers, pipefitters, or fluid handling technicians familiar with cam and groove systems. Depressurize and drain the hose line completely before removing or installing any cam and groove fitting. Inspect the NBR gasket for cuts or deformation prior to coupling and replace it if worn. Ensure the hose shank is fully seated and the cam arms are locked before returning the system to service.
