The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES CGC-150-B1 is a brass cam and groove coupler designed for fast, tool-free hose connections in fluid transfer applications. This Type C fitting connects a 1-1/2 inch cam and groove end to a 1-1/2 inch hose shank, allowing quick coupling and decoupling without threaded engagement. It is rated to 250 psi maximum operating pressure and carries a brass body suitable for casting temperatures from -150 to 450 degrees F. The NBR gasket extends service from -40 to 212 degrees F. Plumbers, industrial maintenance techs, and fluid handling contractors install this fitting on hose assemblies used in water, fuel, and chemical transfer lines.
This coupler is appropriate for residential and commercial fluid transfer systems where reliable, repeated connect-disconnect cycles are required. Typical applications include pump discharge hose assemblies, tank fill and drain operations, irrigation manifolds, and general industrial hose management. The Type C cam and groove configuration is one of the most common configurations in the cam lock standard, making this fitting widely compatible with existing cam and groove hose assemblies in agricultural, construction, and facility maintenance settings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation brass cam and groove coupler for 1-1/2 inch hose shank assemblies conforming to the Type C cam lock standard in industrial and commercial fluid transfer applications.
Installation is performed by plumbers or industrial mechanics working on hose fluid transfer systems. Before servicing or replacing any cam and groove fitting, depressurize the line and drain residual fluid. Verify that the hose shank end is properly barbed and clamped per applicable piping codes before pressurizing. Inspect the NBR gasket for wear or chemical incompatibility before returning the assembly to service.
