The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES CGC-100-B1 is a Type C cam and groove coupler machined from brass, designed for quick-connect fluid transfer applications in industrial, agricultural, and chemical handling systems. It features a 1-inch Type C female coupler on one end and a 1-inch hose shank on the other, allowing fast tool-free connections and disconnections under field conditions. Rated to 250 psi maximum operating pressure, this coupler includes an NBR (nitrile) gasket suited for petroleum-based fluids and many industrial liquids. It weighs 1.01 pounds and is a reliable choice for plumbers, pipefitters, and fluid handling technicians working with cam and groove systems.
This coupler is appropriate for use in hose assemblies where a Type C female cam end must mate with a standard hose shank barb fitting. Common applications include tank truck loading and unloading, chemical transfer lines, agricultural irrigation, and industrial fluid conveyance. The brass construction offers corrosion resistance in moderate-duty environments. The NBR gasket is compatible with oils, fuels, and many water-based fluids but should be verified against the specific media before installation.
Designed as an OEM-style Type C cam and groove coupler for use with standard 1-inch hose shank fittings and cam and groove adapters conforming to MIL-C-27487 and ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 dimensional standards.
Installation is performed by plumbers, pipefitters, or fluid handling technicians familiar with cam and groove fitting systems. Depressurize and drain the line completely before connecting or disconnecting the coupler. Verify the NBR gasket is seated properly in the coupler before making a connection, and confirm the cam levers are fully engaged to prevent leakage under pressure. Always verify chemical compatibility of brass and NBR with the transfer media prior to service.
