The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES CGB-400-A1S is a Type B cam and groove coupler designed for quick-connect fluid transfer applications. It features a 4-inch Type B female cam end on one side and a 4-inch male NPT (MNPT) threaded end on the other, constructed from aluminum with stainless steel handles. The aluminum body keeps weight low at 1.88 pounds while providing corrosion resistance in a wide range of fluid service environments. Maximum operating pressure is 150 psi. The NBR gasket material supports a gasket temperature range of -40 to 212 degrees F, while the aluminum casting is rated for -150 to 250 degrees F. This fitting is installed by plumbers, pipefitters, and fluid-handling technicians across industrial and agricultural transfer systems.
This coupler is suited for bulk fluid transfer lines, tank truck connections, chemical transfer, and general-purpose hose assemblies where a reliable cam and groove quick-disconnect is required. The 4-inch connection size serves high-volume flow applications in both residential and commercial or industrial settings. The MNPT end threads directly onto standard NPT male pipe or hose barb assemblies, and the Type B cam end accepts a standard Type A adapter for fast field connections without tools.
Designed as a standard Type B cam and groove coupler for use with Type A cam and groove adapters in 4-inch fluid transfer hose and piping assemblies. Compatible with systems using NPT-threaded pipe or fittings on the mating connection.
Installation is performed by plumbers, pipefitters, or fluid-handling technicians. Depressurize and drain the line completely before connecting or disconnecting this fitting. Ensure the NBR gasket is seated properly in the cam groove socket before engaging the handles to prevent leaks under pressure. Verify that the MNPT threads are compatible with the mating NPT female fitting and apply appropriate thread sealant per local piping codes.
