The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES CDP-050-A1 is an aluminum cam and groove dust plug designed to cap and protect male cam and groove adapter ends when a hose or coupling is disconnected. Manufactured to Type DP specification, this plug seals the male adapter end to keep out debris, moisture, and contaminants during storage or transport. The 1/2-inch connection size fits standard half-inch male cam and groove adapters. Its cast aluminum construction provides a durable, lightweight solution rated for service between -150 and 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial fluid transfer applications. Plumbers, industrial maintenance technicians, and fluid handling professionals install this fitting as part of routine hose assembly management.
This dust plug is used in agricultural, industrial, petroleum, and general-purpose fluid transfer systems wherever cam and groove quick-disconnect hose assemblies are in service. It is suited for both temporary capping during system downtime and longer-term storage protection. The Type DP designation identifies it as a plug designed to mate with Type A or Type B male cam and groove adapters at the 1/2-inch size. Applications span irrigation systems, tank trucks, chemical transfer lines, and general plant maintenance environments.
Designed as a standard Type DP cam and groove dust plug for use with 1/2-inch Type A or Type B male cam and groove adapters in aluminum cam and groove coupling systems.
Installation requires no tools - the plug is pressed onto the open male adapter end and secured by engaging the cam arms. Relieve all system pressure and isolate the hose assembly from flow before removing or installing any cam and groove fitting. Inspect the plug and adapter seating surface for damage before each use. Dust plugs are not rated as pressure-holding closures; verify that line pressure is fully vented before disconnecting assemblies.
