The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 973201-NB is a linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) tubing supplied in a 100-foot roll. It features a 2.7mm inner diameter and 4mm outer diameter with a 0.65mm wall thickness. Rated for working pressures up to 180 psi with a 3:1 safety factor, it also handles vacuum service up to 28 inHg. The natural-color LLDPE construction delivers Shore A 98 and Shore D 45 hardness ratings and a 25.4mm minimum bend radius. A temperature range of -50 to 140 degrees F makes it suitable for a wide range of service environments. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system installers commonly work with this type of small-bore polyethylene tubing.
This tubing is used in fluid transfer, pneumatic instrument lines, chemical feed applications, and low-pressure control systems where flexible, chemically resistant tubing is required. Its chemical resistance properties make it appropriate for contact with many common trade fluids and reagents. The 100-foot continuous roll reduces the need for mid-run splices in longer runs. It is compatible with barb-type, push-to-connect, and compression-style fittings, making it straightforward to integrate into existing tubing assemblies across residential and light commercial installations.
Compatible with barb-type, push-to-connect, and compression-style fittings. Designed for use in low-pressure fluid transfer and pneumatic tubing applications where small-bore flexible polyethylene tubing is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with fluid or pneumatic system assembly. Isolate and depressurize the system completely before cutting into any existing tubing run. Use a clean, square cut with a dedicated tube cutter to ensure proper fitting engagement and leak-free connections. Verify that all fittings are rated for the working pressure and temperature of the intended service.
