The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 9631612LF is a lead-free bronze pack joint adapter designed to connect copper tubing (CTS) to polyethylene pipe (PEP) without soldering or special tools. One end accepts a 1-inch CTS connection via pack joint compression fitting; the other end accepts a 3/4-inch PEP connection via pack joint. The lead-free bronze construction meets current potable water requirements. This adapter is installed by plumbers working on water service lines, irrigation systems, and distribution piping where a transition between copper tubing and polyethylene pipe is required.
