The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 958PPNI-4B is a metered-out right angle flow control valve designed to regulate airflow in pneumatic systems. Built from nickel-plated brass, it features a push-to-connect inlet and a male global thread outlet in a 1/4 x 1/4 inch nominal configuration. The metered-out design controls exhaust flow rather than supply, allowing precise speed control of pneumatic actuators. With a center-to-end dimension of 0.276 inches and a hex size of 0.669 inches, the valve fits into tight spaces. Overall top-to-bottom length ranges from 1.85 to 2.086 inches. Pneumatic technicians and automation specialists install this type of valve on cylinders, actuators, and directional control valves.
This valve is suited for use in compressed air circuits where controlled exhaust metering is required. The right-angle body orientation allows installation where inline fittings will not fit, making it practical for panel-mounted actuators and close-clearance cylinder ports. The push-to-connect end accepts standard tubing for tool-free assembly, while the male global thread end installs directly into actuator or valve ports. It is appropriate for light industrial, HVAC controls, and pneumatic automation applications at low to moderate pressures.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation flow control valve for pneumatic circuits requiring 1/4 inch push-to-connect x 1/4 inch male global thread right-angle metered-out control.
Installation is typically performed by pneumatic technicians or industrial maintenance personnel. Depressurize the air circuit completely before removing or installing any fittings or valves. Thread the male global end into the actuator or valve port by hand first, then tighten with a wrench to the appropriate port thread specification. Insert tubing fully into the push-to-connect end until it seats, and verify a leak-free connection before returning the system to service.
