The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 944102 is a mini ball valve with a 1/4-inch male pipe thread (MPT) inlet and a 3/8-inch female pipe thread (FPT) outlet, rated at 200 psi WOG (water, oil, gas). The forged brass body houses a brass ball, brass stem, and brass disc with a PTFE seat for reliable shutoff performance. Steel screw, NBR O-ring, and steel nut trim complete the assembly. The 180-degree operational handle provides a clear open-to-closed indication. This valve is installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and gas fitters in applications where a compact, reduced-port shutoff is needed in a tight space.
The 944102 suits residential and light commercial installations where a small-footprint inline shutoff valve is required. Typical applications include fuel gas branch lines, water supply branches, compressed air drops, and hydraulic fluid circuits operating within the rated temperature and pressure range. The overall installed length is 2.5 inches and overall height is 1.5 inches, making it well suited for confined mechanical rooms or equipment cabinets where full-size valves will not fit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation mini ball valve for systems requiring a 1/4-18 MPT inlet and 3/8-18 FPT outlet connection in plumbing, HVAC, gas, or fluid-handling applications rated within 200 psi WOG and -20 to 250 degrees F.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC or gas technician in accordance with applicable local codes, the International Plumbing Code, or the International Fuel Gas Code. Shut off and relieve pressure from the line completely before installation or removal. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape appropriate for the service media to the male threads before making up connections; do not over-torque the fittings. Confirm the valve handle orientation matches the intended flow direction before returning the system to service.
