The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 77101 is a 90-degree wrot copper solder joint elbow rated for 500 psi working pressure across a temperature range of 32 to 200 degrees F. It connects 1/4 inch copper tubing on both ends using a standard sweat (solder) connection. Wrot copper construction delivers the material density and strength that licensed plumbers expect from a pressure fitting in potable water, refrigeration, or hydronic applications. The compact profile fits tight spaces where a standard elbow change of direction is needed.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant piping, and hydronic heating systems wherever a 90-degree direction change is required in a 1/4 inch copper line. Its small size makes it a common choice in refrigeration tubing runs, capillary-adjacent lines, and instrumentation piping. Plumbers and HVAC technicians routinely stock this fitting for service and new installation work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/4 inch copper sweat piping systems in plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician following applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines for soldered copper fittings. Shut off and depressurize the line and allow all tubing to cool completely before cutting or fitting work begins. Proper flux application, tubing reaming, and consistent heat distribution are required for a sound solder joint. Never exceed the rated working pressure or temperature for this fitting.
