The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 76GH is a rigid brass adapter fitting that connects a 3/4-inch Male Garden Hose thread to a 1/4-inch Male NPTF thread. It allows technicians and plumbers to tie a standard garden hose connection directly into a 1/4-inch NPTF threaded port without additional adapters. The body is machined from brass for corrosion resistance and durability in wet service. The 1.06-inch hex provides a flat wrench surface for secure installation. At 1.26 inches in length, the fitting is compact enough for tight installations. Rated for operating temperatures between 35 and 100 degrees F, it is suited for cold and ambient-temperature water service.
The 76GH is used wherever a garden hose supply needs to terminate at a 1/4-inch NPTF male port. Common applications include irrigation tie-ins, equipment washdown connections, portable pump hookups, and low-pressure fluid transfer setups. The 3/4-11-1/2 garden hose thread on one end mates with standard hose couplings, while the 1/4-18 NPTF thread on the other end seals into tapered pipe thread ports. This fitting is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing and fluid-handling applications.
Designed as a direct-fit rigid adapter for systems requiring a transition from a 3/4-inch Male Garden Hose thread to a 1/4-inch Male NPTF threaded port in garden hose and low-pressure fluid-handling assemblies.
This fitting is typically installed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson following applicable IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installing or removing any threaded fitting. Apply appropriate thread sealant to the NPTF male threads before tightening; do not overtighten brass fittings, as the material can crack under excessive torque. Inspect both mating threads for damage before assembly to ensure a leak-free seal.
