The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 73206R5 is a red linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) tubing designed for fluid transfer in light industrial, pneumatic, and general-purpose plumbing applications. It features a 0.250-inch inner diameter and a 3/8-inch outer diameter with a 0.062-inch wall thickness, giving it a 150 psi working pressure rating and a 28 inHg vacuum rating. The coil spans 500 feet, making it well-suited for installations requiring long continuous runs without fittings. Its Shore A 98 and Shore D 45 hardness ratings indicate a semi-rigid but flexible construction. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance professionals commonly specify this tubing for pneumatic control lines and fluid distribution work.
This tubing is used across residential and light commercial applications where a flexible, chemical-resistant line is needed. The -50 to 140 degrees F temperature range supports use in both refrigerated and above-ambient environments. The 2-inch minimum bend radius allows routing through tight spaces without kinking. The red color aids in line identification in multi-line installations. With a 500-foot coil length and a minimum order of one coil, it is practical for both single-job service calls and larger installations requiring extensive runs.
Designed for use with barb-type, push-to-connect, or compression style fittings as stated by the manufacturer. Suitable for pneumatic control lines, fluid transfer, and general-purpose tubing applications where LLDPE material and 3/8-inch OD connections are specified.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified industrial maintenance personnel. Depressurize and isolate the system fully before cutting or connecting tubing. Use a clean, square cut with a dedicated tubing cutter to ensure leak-free seating in push-to-connect or compression fittings. Observe the 2-inch minimum bend radius during routing to prevent flow restriction or tubing stress.
