The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 710404A is a D.O.T.-rated male run tee fitting designed for compressed air and pneumatic brake line applications in commercial trucking and heavy equipment. It combines two push-to-connect ports with one 1/4-inch male NPTF threaded port in a run tee configuration, allowing a branch connection off an existing inline run without additional adapters. Constructed from brass, the fitting handles pressures up to 200 psi and temperatures from -40 to 200 degrees F. Plumbers, fleet mechanics, and pneumatic system technicians install this fitting where a push-to-connect line must also pick up a threaded port connection in a single compact body.
This fitting is suited for DOT-compliant pneumatic systems on commercial vehicles, trailers, and heavy-duty equipment. The push-to-connect ports accept 1/4-inch OD tubing for fast, tool-free insertion, while the male NPTF port threads directly into a manifold, valve body, or panel fitting. The run tee orientation keeps the primary line flow path straight through the fitting, with the branch port providing the threaded takeoff. It is a practical choice in air brake, suspension, and auxiliary air system plumbing where space and connection count matter.
Designed as a DOT-compliant replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/4-inch OD push-to-connect pneumatic tubing systems with 1/4-inch male NPTF threaded port requirements, typical in commercial vehicle air brake and auxiliary air plumbing.
Installation is performed by qualified mechanics or plumbers working on DOT-regulated pneumatic systems. Depressurize and isolate the air system completely before removing or installing any fitting. The NPTF threads are designed for dry-seal engagement, but thread sealant may be applied per system requirements and applicable codes. Verify that tubing is cut cleanly and squarely, and is fully seated in the push-to-connect ports before returning the system to pressure.
