The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 700069-0404AOP is a 90-degree compression-to-male pipe thread elbow fitting machined from lead-free brass. It connects 1/4-inch compression tubing to a 1/4-inch MNPTF (male national pipe thread fuel) port, making a right-angle transition in tight plumbing runs. The fitting carries a thread specification of 7/16-24 on the compression side and 1/4-18 on the pipe thread side. Rated for service from -40 to 250 degrees F, it handles the temperature range common in refrigeration, HVAC, and general plumbing applications. Lead-free brass construction meets regulatory requirements for potable water and fuel gas service lines.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant line accessories, and fuel gas tubing connections where a 90-degree direction change is needed between a compression tubing run and a threaded port. Compatible with copper, aluminum, or plastic tubing at the compression end. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and gas fitters install this type of fitting when routing 1/4-inch tubing into threaded equipment ports or manifold blocks in confined spaces.
Designed for use with copper, aluminum, or plastic tubing at the compression connection. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting wherever a 1/4-inch compression by 1/4-inch MNPTF 90-degree elbow is specified.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians in accordance with applicable IPC or IFGC code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembly or installation. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the tubing, then snug with a wrench - do not overtighten, as over-compression can deform soft tubing. Apply thread sealant or tape to the MNPTF threads as appropriate for the service fluid before making up the pipe connection.
