The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 700068-0612 is a lead-free brass male adapter fitting that connects a 3/8-inch compression inlet to a 3/4-inch MNPTF threaded outlet. It is designed for use in potable water, hydronic, and general plumbing systems where a compression-to-male-NPT transition is required. The fitting carries a thread specification of 9/16-24 on the compression side and 3/4-14 on the NPT side. Rated for service from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this adapter suits a wide range of residential and light commercial plumbing applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where copper, aluminum, or plastic tubing must terminate into a male NPT threaded connection. Typical scenarios include supply line connections at fixtures, valves, and equipment inlets. The lead-free brass construction meets requirements for use in potable water systems under applicable plumbing codes. It is compact enough for installations in confined spaces such as under-sink supply connections or equipment service panels.
Designed for use with copper, aluminum, or plastic tubing on the compression side. Compatible with any 3/4-inch MNPTF female-threaded port on the outlet side. Suitable for potable water and general plumbing service applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes such as the IPC or UPC. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installing or removing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut first, then apply an additional one-quarter to one-half turn with a wrench - do not overtighten, as this can crack plastic tubing or distort the compression sleeve. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MNPTF threads before making up the NPT connection.
