The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 6805NWO1412 is a 90-degree hydraulic elbow adapter machined from steel, designed to connect a 7/8-inch Male Adjustable O-Ring Boss (ORB) port to a 3/4-inch Female NPTF (National Pipe Taper Fuel) port. The adjustable O-ring boss end uses a 1-3/16-12 thread and an O-ring face seal to eliminate leak paths at the boss port. The female NPTF end threads at 3/4-14. Rated to 2300 psi maximum operating pressure and 375 degrees F, this fitting handles demanding hydraulic plumbing environments. It carries a dash number of 14 and is compatible with 7/8-inch tube applications. Hydraulic technicians and fluid power specialists are the primary installers.
This fitting is used in steel hydraulic line assemblies where a 90-degree directional change is needed between an ORB boss port and an NPTF-threaded component. Typical applications include mobile hydraulic equipment, industrial hydraulic power units, and stationary machinery requiring high-pressure steel plumbing. The adjustable feature on the ORB end allows the elbow to be clocked to the correct orientation without sacrificing seal integrity, making it practical in tight routing situations where fixed-position fittings are problematic.
Designed as an OEM-style hydraulic steel pipe adapter for systems requiring a 7/8-inch Male Adjustable O-Ring Boss to 3/4-inch Female NPTF connection. Part of the 6805-NWO Series of Male Adjustable O-Ring to FNPT elbows.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician. Depressurize and isolate the hydraulic circuit completely before removing or installing any fittings. Inspect O-ring and threads for damage before assembly; replace the O-ring if any deformation or nicking is present. Torque to the fitting manufacturer's published specification for the dash size and do not over-torque the NPTF end, as cast or machined boss ports can crack under excessive force.
