The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 650024 is a 90-degree swivel elbow hydraulic fitting designed to connect 1-1/2-inch Male JIC to 1-1/2-inch Female JIC swivel ends in steel hydraulic plumbing systems. The swivel feature on the female end allows rotation during assembly, which reduces line stress and simplifies routing in tight installations. Rated at 1500 psi working pressure and compatible with systems operating up to 375 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding hydraulic circuit work. It uses a 1-7/8-12 thread specification. Licensed plumbers, hydraulic system technicians, and industrial mechanics install this type of fitting on mobile equipment, presses, and fluid power systems.
The 650024 fits into the 6500 Series MJIC to FJIC swivel elbow line from MIDLAND INDUSTRIES. It is appropriate for use in steel hydraulic line assemblies where a 90-degree direction change is needed between two JIC-threaded components. At 3.6 inches in length and 3.55 inches in width, the fitting works in moderate-clearance applications. Its 2.25-inch height keeps the profile manageable in panel or chassis-mounted hydraulic blocks. Typical installation scenarios include agricultural equipment, construction machinery, and stationary hydraulic power units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for steel hydraulic systems using 1-1/2-inch JIC threaded connections with 37-degree flare seats.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or licensed mechanic familiar with JIC flare fittings. Depressurize and drain the hydraulic system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Use a backup wrench on the hex body to prevent rotation of connected lines during tightening. Do not over-torque; seat the JIC flare to the 37-degree cone and follow standard hydraulic assembly torque practices per the equipment manufacturer or IFPS guidelines.
