The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 62414 is a 3/4-inch female NPT x 3/4-inch female NPT banded coupling rated at 150 lb pressure class. Constructed from 304 stainless steel, it provides a corrosion-resistant union between two male-threaded pipe ends in the same nominal size. The banded design reinforces the coupling body, maintaining structural integrity under working pressure across a wide range of media. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians in both new construction and retrofit piping work where a reliable, all-stainless threaded connection is required.
The 62414 is suited for residential and light commercial piping systems handling air, water, oil, natural gas, or steam. Its 3/4-14 thread form conforms to NPT taper standards, making it compatible with standard tapered male pipe threads in that size. Typical install scenarios include connecting two threaded pipe stubs, closing out a piping run, or joining sections of distribution piping in mechanical rooms, utility spaces, or process lines where stainless steel is specified for corrosion resistance or media compatibility.
Designed as a standard 150 lb class threaded coupling for use with 3/4-inch male NPT pipe ends in air, water, oil, natural gas, and steam service piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC depending on the media being conveyed. Isolate and depressurize the piping system completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for the intended media to the male threads before assembly. Do not over-torque the connection; engage threads by hand first, then tighten with pipe wrenches to the appropriate engagement depth for NPT threads.
