The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 62107MS is a 90-degree pipe elbow machined from 304 stainless steel, designed for use in fluid and gas piping systems where corrosion resistance and mechanical strength are required. Both ends are threaded 1-1/2-inch Female NPT with a 1-1/2-11-1/2 thread form. The fitting carries a 150 lb pressure class rating and weighs 1.275 pounds. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors use this type of fitting to redirect pipe runs at a right angle within process, industrial, and commercial plumbing systems. Its stainless steel construction makes it suitable for corrosive service, sanitary applications, and environments where carbon steel fittings are not acceptable.
This fitting is appropriate for residential and commercial piping installations where 1-1/2-inch NPT threaded connections are required at a 90-degree change of direction. Typical applications include water supply lines, chemical transfer systems, food and beverage processing lines, and general industrial fluid service. It fits into any system calling for a standard 150 lb class threaded elbow at this pipe size. The SP-114 series designates Midland Industries stainless steel threaded fittings conforming to this pressure and material class.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded fitting for use in any standard 1-1/2-inch NPT piping system rated at 150 lb class, including schedule 40 pipe configurations in plumbing and light industrial service.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters following applicable IPC or IFGC code requirements for the service fluid. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male pipe threads before assembly. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Do not over-tighten threaded stainless fittings, as galling can occur between stainless mating surfaces.
