The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 600104 is a worm gear clamp designed for securing hoses, ducts, and flexible connections in plumbing, HVAC, and general-purpose mechanical applications. Part of the 600 Series, this clamp features a carbon steel housing and screw with a stainless steel band that is 1/2 inch wide. It accommodates a minimum clamp diameter of 5 inches and a maximum clamp diameter of 7 inches, making it suitable for medium-to-large diameter hose and duct assemblies. The 600104 is rated to 50 inch-pounds of torque and is installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors who need a reliable worm-drive clamp for field service or new installation work.
This clamp is used in residential and light commercial applications wherever a worm-drive style band clamp is required. Typical install scenarios include connecting flexible duct sections, securing coolant or water hoses to fittings, and fastening rubber couplings on drain or waste lines. The 600 Series is a general-purpose line suited for situations requiring a stainless steel band with a carbon steel housing and screw assembly across a broad diameter range.
Designed as a general-purpose worm-drive clamp for hoses, flexible ducts, and rubber couplings with outside diameters falling between 5 inches and 7 inches.
Install using a standard flat-blade screwdriver or a nut driver sized for the worm screw head. Ensure the hose or duct is fully seated on the fitting before tightening the clamp. Do not exceed the rated 50 inch-pound torque limit, as overtightening can damage the band or the connected material. Power down or depressurize the system before replacing an existing clamp on any pressurized line.
