The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 541006SA is a 45-degree swivel elbow fitting designed for push-to-connect pneumatic and fluid transfer applications. It joins a 5/8-inch push-in connection on one end to a 3/8-inch male NPTF (MNPTF) threaded connection on the other. The body is constructed from brass, providing corrosion resistance in typical compressed-air and liquid service environments. This fitting is rated to 150 psi and handles temperatures from -40 to 200 degrees F. The swivel design allows the push-in side to rotate after assembly, simplifying tube routing in tight spaces. Licensed trades including plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pneumatic system installers work with this type of fitting regularly.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving compressed air lines, pneumatic controls, or fluid transfer systems where a directional change is needed at a male NPT port. The 45-degree angle reduces stress on tubing runs compared to a 90-degree elbow. The push-in end accepts standard OD tubing, allowing fast, tool-free tube insertion. It meets DOT standards for push-to-connect brass fittings, making it appropriate for regulated service environments where material and pressure certification matter.
Designed as a DOT-rated push-to-connect brass fitting for compressed-air, pneumatic control, and compatible fluid-transfer systems requiring a 5/8-inch push-in to 3/8-inch MNPTF 45-degree swivel elbow connection.
Installation is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, or pneumatic system technicians. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing any existing fittings or making connections. Thread the MNPTF end into a female NPT port by hand first, then tighten with an appropriately sized wrench; apply thread sealant compatible with the service fluid as required by local codes. Insert tubing into the push-in end until it seats fully, then verify retention by pulling back on the tube before returning the system to pressure.
