The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 48095 is a Schedule 40 welded pipe nipple designed for threaded pipe systems in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial piping applications. Constructed from 304 stainless steel, this nipple measures 11 inches in length with a 3/4-inch outside diameter and 3/4-14 NPT male threads on both ends. It is pressure-rated at 150 psi and conforms to ANSI B1.20.1 thread standards. Weighing just under 1 pound at 0.99 pounds, it is a solid, corrosion-resistant fitting suited for demanding service environments where carbon steel is not appropriate.
This nipple is used in residential and commercial piping systems that require a stainless steel fitting for corrosion resistance or sanitary compliance. Common applications include chemical transfer lines, steam and hot water distribution, food-service plumbing, and HVAC condensate or process piping. Its MPT x MPT configuration makes it a direct-install threaded connector between two female-threaded ports or fittings without additional adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 3/4-inch female NPT threaded connections in Schedule 40 pipe systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified piping tradespeople. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly, and tighten to the fitting manufacturer's recommended engagement depth without over-torquing the stainless threads. Verify the completed assembly holds pressure before returning the system to service.
