The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 38129 is a brass NAB male run tee designed for use in DOT air brake nylon tubing systems. It connects 1/2 inch tube OD ports on the run with a 3/8 inch male NPTF branch port, allowing a straight-line tube run to be tapped with a threaded male fitting in a single compact body. The fitting is rated to 150 psi and handles temperatures from -40 to 200 degrees F. Thread specification is 11/16-20. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and fleet service technicians working on compressed air brake systems install this fitting where a branch connection off a main air line is required without breaking the run.
This fitting is intended for use with SAE J844 Type A and Type B NT nylon tubing in DOT-compliant air brake assemblies. Typical applications include commercial vehicle air brake lines, trailer air systems, and pneumatic control plumbing where a mid-run branch off to a threaded component such as a valve, switch, or sensor is needed. The brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in exposed underbody and engine-compartment environments.
Designed for use with SAE J844 Type A and Type B NT nylon tubing in DOT air brake nylon tubing systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with DOT air brake system requirements. Depressurize the air system fully before removing or installing any fittings. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely and is fully seated before pressurizing. Verify all connections meet applicable DOT and FMCSA air brake plumbing standards before returning the vehicle to service.
