The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 32912 is a rigid male adapter designed to connect a 1/8-inch hose barb to a 10/32-inch male NPTF thread. Machined from brass, this fitting provides a reliable transition between small-diameter hose assemblies and threaded port connections. It measures 0.92 inches in length with a 0.38-inch hex for wrench engagement. The adapter is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi and handles temperatures from -40 to 160 degrees F, making it well-suited for pneumatic, fluid transfer, and instrumentation applications where compact, secure connections are required.
This fitting is used in light-duty pneumatic lines, instrumentation tubing, and fluid transfer assemblies where a small hose must terminate into a threaded port. The hose barb end is intended for use with a hose clamp, similar-style clamp, or a crimped ferrule to ensure a leak-free seal. It is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and general mechanical tradespeople working with small-bore hose and threaded fittings in both residential and light commercial service environments.
Designed for use with hose assemblies secured by a hose clamp, similar-style clamp, or a crimped ferrule on the barb end, and threaded into 10/32-inch NPTF female ports on equipment or manifolds.
Installation is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, or mechanical tradespeople. Depressurize and drain the line before disassembling any existing fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPTF threads as appropriate for the fluid being conveyed. Use a wrench on the hex flats to tighten the threaded end; do not over-tighten, as brass threads can be damaged. Secure the hose barb end with the appropriate clamp or crimped ferrule before returning the line to service.
