The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 32771 is a reusable female swivel stem hose fitting designed for connecting flexible hose assemblies to threaded ports in fluid transfer systems. Constructed from brass, it features a 3/8-inch hose I.D. barbed end and a 3/8-inch Female NPSM swivel connection with a 3/8-18 thread. The swivel design allows the fitting to rotate during installation, reducing hose twist and making it easier to achieve a clean, leak-free connection. Rated to 150 psi maximum operating pressure and suitable for temperatures ranging from -40 to 160 degrees F, this fitting is built for demanding service environments encountered by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance trades.
This fitting is intended for use in low-pressure fluid transfer applications where a reusable, field-serviceable connection is preferred over a permanent crimped assembly. It is compatible with hose secured by a hose clamp, similar style clamp, or a crimped ferrule. Typical applications include hydraulic hose assemblies, water transfer lines, and general-purpose fluid systems in both residential and light commercial settings. The brass construction resists corrosion and holds up well in wet or humid environments common to plumbing and HVAC installations.
Designed for use with 3/8-inch I.D. flexible hose secured by a hose clamp, similar type clamp, or a crimped ferrule. Connects to 3/8-inch Female NPSM threaded ports.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Shut off fluid flow and relieve system pressure before disassembling any existing hose connections. The swivel end should be hand-tightened and then wrench-tightened to the port without overtorquing brass threads. Verify the hose clamp or ferrule is properly seated and torqued to the clamp manufacturer specifications before returning the system to service.
