The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 325005 is a miniature worm gear clamp from the 325 Series, designed for secure, uniform clamping in tight-clearance applications. Built from 301 stainless steel, it delivers corrosion resistance suitable for wet, chemical-exposure, and outdoor environments. The clamp spans a minimum diameter of 7/16 inches to a maximum of 11/16 inches, making it well suited for small-diameter hose and tubing connections. At 0.020 pounds, it is lightweight without sacrificing grip strength. The 5/16-inch band width and 1/4-inch bolt provide consistent tension across the clamping surface. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors reach for this style of clamp when working in confined spaces where standard-size worm gear clamps will not fit.
This miniature worm gear clamp is used across residential and light commercial applications wherever small-bore hose or tubing must be sealed against barbed or nipple fittings. Common install scenarios include condensate drain lines, low-pressure fluid lines, pneumatic tubing connections, and small-diameter coolant or process hose assemblies. Its compact profile makes it especially practical in equipment cabinets, behind panels, and in other locations with limited tool swing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation worm gear clamp for small-diameter hose and tubing connections requiring a 7/16 to 11/16 inch clamp diameter.
Installation is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, or mechanical contractors using a flat-head screwdriver or 1/4-inch hex nut driver. Ensure the system is depressurized and the line is drained before removing or repositioning any clamp. Seat the clamp fully on the hose bead or past the end of the fitting barb before tightening to avoid leaks. Do not overtighten, as excessive torque on miniature stainless clamps can deform the hose or strip the worm screw.
