The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 32433 is a 90-degree brass hose barb elbow fitting designed to connect two lengths of flexible hose at a right angle. Both ends accept 3/16-inch hose barb connections, making this a symmetrical elbow suited for routing hose in tight quarters. The fitting is machined from brass for corrosion resistance and durability. It carries a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi and is rated for temperatures from -40 degrees F to 160 degrees F. With a body size of 0.37 inches and a center-to-end dimension of 0.9 inches on both sides, this fitting is compact and well-suited for confined plumbing or fluid-transfer assemblies. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors are the typical installers.
This elbow is appropriate for residential and light commercial applications where flexible hose must change direction within a system. Typical uses include low-pressure fluid lines, pneumatic tubing, fuel lines, and coolant circuits where a 90-degree turn is required without the use of rigid pipe. The fitting is compatible with hose clamps, similar-type clamps, or a crimped ferrule as specified by the manufacturer, giving installers flexibility in their termination method. It is not intended for high-pressure hydraulic service beyond 150 psi.
For use with hose clamp, similar-type clamp, or a crimped ferrule. Designed as an OEM-style brass hose barb fitting for flexible hose assemblies requiring a 90-degree change in direction at 3/16-inch connections.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or mechanical contractor. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any hose barb fitting. Seat the hose fully onto the barb before applying the clamp or ferrule to ensure a leak-free connection. Follow applicable plumbing or mechanical codes for the jurisdiction, and verify that the fluid media and operating conditions are within the rated pressure and temperature limits of the fitting.
