The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 32330 is a 90-degree square barstock brazed elbow fitting designed for connecting hose barb assemblies to threaded pipe systems. It features a 3/4-inch hose barb on one end and a 1-inch male NPTF thread on the other, with a 1-11-1/2 thread specification. Constructed from brass, this elbow provides reliable flow direction changes in fluid transfer applications where a right-angle turn is required. It carries a maximum operating pressure rating of 150 psi and an operating temperature range of -40 to 160 degrees F. The center-to-end dimensions measure 1.57 x 1.64 inches, with a 1.34-inch body size. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid system installers work with this type of fitting in routine assembly and repair tasks.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial fluid transfer systems where a hose barb connection must transition to a male NPTF-threaded port at a 90-degree angle. Typical applications include water, coolant, and compatible fluid lines in plumbing and HVAC installations. The NPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight connection without relying solely on thread sealant, making it appropriate for systems that require a dry-seal fit. The hose barb end accepts flexible hose that is secured with a clamp, keeping installation straightforward in tight spaces where rigid fittings are impractical.
Designed as a standard barstock 90-degree hose barb elbow for use in plumbing and fluid transfer systems requiring a 3/4-inch hose barb to 1-inch male NPTF connection at a right angle.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified HVAC technicians following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system fully before removing or installing any fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPTF threads per standard practice, and secure the hose end with an appropriately rated hose clamp. Do not exceed the rated operating pressure or temperature limits during service.
