The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 32181 is a brass bubble barb male fuel adapter designed to connect flexible fuel lines to threaded ports in automotive, light truck, and small engine fuel systems. It features a 1-inch bubble barb on one end and a 1-inch male NPTF thread on the other, providing a secure, leak-resistant connection. Rated to 150 psi maximum operating pressure and suited for temperatures from -40 to 160 degrees F, this fitting handles the thermal and pressure demands common in fuel line service. Brass construction resists corrosion and is compatible with the fuels and fluids found in these applications.
This adapter is intended for use in automotive, light truck, and small engine fuel line installations where a barbed-to-threaded transition is required. The bubble barb profile grips hose ends firmly, reducing the chance of hose pull-off under pressure or vibration. It is a practical choice for new installations and replacement service on carbureted and fuel-injected small-displacement engines as well as light vehicle fuel systems.
Designed for use with automotive, light truck, and small engine fuel lines requiring a 1-inch bubble barb to 1-inch male NPTF transition fitting.
Installation should be performed by a qualified mechanic or technician familiar with fuel system service procedures. Relieve fuel system pressure and disconnect the fuel supply before removing or installing any fuel line fittings. Ensure the mating hose is rated for fuel service and is the correct interior diameter for the 1-inch barb. Follow all applicable fire safety and fuel system codes during installation and inspection.
