The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 32026LF is a rigid hose barb adapter machined from lead-free brass for use in potable water and general fluid-handling systems. It connects a 3/8-inch hose barb on one end to a 3/4-inch male iron pipe (MIP) thread on the other. The barbed end is designed to accept standard flexible hose secured with a hose clamp or crimp-type ferrule. The 3/4-14 thread follows NPT standards. The hex is 1.06 inches across for wrench engagement. Overall length is 1.97 inches with a barb length of 0.97 inches. The lead-free construction meets regulatory requirements for drinking water applications. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
This adapter is suited for residential plumbing, irrigation, HVAC hydronic connections, and light commercial fluid systems where a transition from rigid threaded pipe to flexible hose is required. The 3/8-inch barb end accepts standard flexible tubing or hose, and the 3/4-inch MIP end threads directly into a female-threaded valve, manifold, or pipe fitting. Rated for an operating temperature range of -40 to 200 degrees F, the fitting handles both cold and moderately hot water lines. It is appropriate for indoor and outdoor installations within that temperature range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems requiring a 3/8-inch hose barb to 3/4-inch MIP transition in lead-free brass. Secure the barb end with a hose clamp or crimp-type ferrule as specified by the hose manufacturer and local code.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in jurisdictions requiring permitted work on potable water systems. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before threading or clamping this fitting. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the MIP threads per IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Do not over-tighten; use the hex flats and an appropriate wrench to achieve a secure, leak-free joint without stressing the fitting body.
