The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 30383 is a 90-degree brass elbow fitting designed to connect push-on hose assemblies to threaded male pipe connections. One end accepts a 3/4-inch push-on hose barb, while the other end terminates in a 1/2-inch male iron pipe (MIP) thread sized at 1/2-14. Rated to 150 psi, this fitting is built for reliable service in fluid transfer lines where a right-angle change of direction is required. The all-brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in water, air, and compatible fluid applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipe fitters regularly use this fitting in both residential and light commercial installations.
This elbow fitting is suited for applications where a push-on hose must transition to a male-threaded pipe port at a 90-degree angle. Common installation scenarios include water supply lines, compressed air systems, and fluid transfer assemblies in residential and light commercial settings. The 3/4-inch barb end is designed for push-on hose without the need for clamps, while the 1/2-inch MIP end threads directly into a female-threaded port or valve body. Overall dimensions measure approximately 2.15 inches center to end on the barb side and 1.24 inches center to end on the threaded side.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for push-on hose assemblies requiring a 3/4-inch barb to 1/2-inch MIP male elbow connection in water, air, or compatible fluid systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson familiar with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water or air supply and depressurize the line fully before disconnecting any existing fittings. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe dope to the MIP threads before making up the threaded connection; do not overtighten, as brass fittings can crack under excessive torque. Push the hose fully onto the barb end until it seats against the fitting shoulder before pressurizing the system.
