The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 30264 is a brass swivel connector designed to transition from a 1/4-inch push-on hose barb to a 3/8-inch female JIC swivel fitting. The push-on end accepts standard push-on hose assemblies without clamps, while the 37-degree female JIC flare swivel end provides a leak-resistant mechanical seat connection with rotational freedom during final tightening. At 0.68 inches across the hex and 1.57 inches in overall length, this is a compact fitting suited for tight routing in hydraulic and fluid transfer lines. Rated to 150 psi maximum operating pressure, it is built from brass for corrosion resistance in fuel, oil, and water service applications. Plumbers, hydraulic technicians, and fluid system assemblers install this fitting in low-to-medium pressure line runs.
This connector is used in residential and light commercial fluid systems where a push-on hose must terminate at a JIC flare port. Typical install scenarios include hydraulic control lines, fuel delivery assemblies, and lubrication circuits where a swivel end simplifies routing and reduces stress on hose assemblies. The female JIC swivel end conforms to the 37-degree flare standard common across hydraulic and pneumatic equipment fittings. The push-on barb end is compatible with standard push-on hose sized to 1/4-inch ID.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 1/4-inch push-on hose with 3/8-inch female JIC swivel terminations in low-to-medium pressure hydraulic, fuel, or fluid transfer circuits.
Installation is typically performed by hydraulic technicians, plumbers, or fluid system mechanics. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing or installing any fitting. Use a properly sized open-end or combination wrench on the 0.68-inch hex; do not use pipe wrenches or adjustable pliers that can deform brass fittings. The JIC swivel seat relies on metal-to-metal contact at the 37-degree flare - inspect the mating flare for damage before assembly and do not over-torque, as brass is susceptible to deformation at the seat.
