The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 300021 is a sintered bronze pneumatic muffler with a 1/8 in male pipe thread (MPT) connection rated for up to 300 psi operating pressure. It uses a 40 micrometer sintered bronze element to diffuse and quiet exhausting air from pneumatic ports, reducing noise and protecting downstream environments from blast discharge. The operating temperature range spans 35 to 300 degrees F, making it suitable for a broad range of industrial and shop environments. Installation requires only a threaded port, and no tools beyond a wrench are typically needed for most applications. This compact muffler is a go-to component for pneumatic technicians and maintenance professionals managing air tool and valve exhaust noise.
The 300021 is designed for use on exhaust ports, directional control valves, pneumatic cylinders, and air tools that require noise attenuation at the exhaust outlet. It is commonly installed in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, and trade shop settings where repeated pneumatic cycling creates persistent exhaust noise. The sintered bronze construction provides both filtration and flow control in a single compact unit, keeping exhaust clean and quiet without restricting system performance. Its small footprint allows fitment in tight panel or manifold installations where space is limited.
Designed for use with exhaust ports, directional control valves, pneumatic cylinders, and air tools fitted with a 1/8 in MPT threaded exhaust port.
Installation is performed by qualified pneumatic technicians or maintenance personnel. De-pressurize and lock out the pneumatic system before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply thread sealant appropriate for pneumatic service per the fitting manufacturer's guidance. Do not overtighten the muffler into the port, as sintered bronze elements can crack under excessive torque.
