The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 29ESB-52 is a 90-degree single barb elbow fitting designed to transition between a 5/16-inch single barb hose connection and a 1/8-inch male NPTF threaded port. Machined from brass, this fitting provides a leak-resistant connection in fuel line assemblies where a direction change is required. It carries a maximum operating pressure of 150 psi and is rated for service across a temperature range of -40 to 160 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, fuel system technicians, and equipment service mechanics install this type of fitting in applications requiring reliable hose-to-port transitions on small-engine and fluid-handling systems.
This elbow fitting is specified for use with SAE 30R7 and SAE 30R9 fuel hose, making it appropriate for gasoline and compatible fuel line assemblies found in small engines, outdoor power equipment, and light-duty fuel distribution systems. The 1/8-27 NPTF thread engages directly with standard NPT-threaded ports on carburetors, fuel pumps, and related components. Its compact 90-degree geometry is suited for tight-clearance installations where a straight barb fitting would not route cleanly.
Designed for use with SAE 30R7 and SAE 30R9 fuel hose and 1/8-27 NPTF-threaded ports. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting in small-engine fuel systems using standard NPT port connections.
Shut off fuel supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any fuel line fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant to the male NPTF threads before assembly, following the equipment manufacturer and applicable code guidance. Secure the hose to the barb end with a properly rated clamp and verify there are no leaks before returning the system to service. This fitting should be installed by a qualified technician familiar with fuel system service procedures.
