It ships as an assembly with the 27005 self-align sleeve, which allows the compression nut to seat correctly even when tubing entry is slightly off-axis. This fitting is used in plumbing and gas-supply rough-in work where copper or soft-metal tubing must transition to a threaded male fitting.
