The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 260X12 is a 3/4 inch brass compression sleeve designed for use in compression-style tube fittings. This sleeve sits between the compression nut and the fitting body, creating a leak-resistant seal when the nut is tightened. It is a standard component in compression fitting assemblies used in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid distribution systems. Rated to 100 psi and suited for a temperature range of -65 to 250 degrees F, this sleeve handles the demands of typical residential and light commercial installations. Its brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in both wet and dry environments.
This compression sleeve is appropriate for use in residential and commercial plumbing lines, water supply connections, HVAC refrigerant or fluid lines, and general-purpose tubing assemblies. It is compatible with aluminum, copper, brass, and plastic tubing at the 3/4 inch compression size. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters encounter this component when assembling or repairing compression fittings in supply lines, shutoff valve connections, and other tubing terminations where a soldered or threaded joint is not preferred or practical.
Designed for use with aluminum, copper, brass, and plastic tubing in 3/4 inch compression fitting assemblies. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or service component in residential and commercial compression plumbing and fluid system connections.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Shut off the water or fluid supply and relieve system pressure before disassembling any fitting. Slide the sleeve onto the tubing before threading the compression nut onto the fitting body, then tighten to manufacturer fitting specifications using the appropriate wrenches. Avoid overtightening, which can deform the sleeve and cause leaks.
