The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 23308X4 is a brass SAE pattern reducing pipe coupling designed to connect two female NPTF ports of different sizes in a single inline fitting. The larger port measures 1/2-14 NPTF and the smaller port measures 1/4-18 NPTF, allowing a direct reduction without additional adapters. At 1.28 inches in length with a 1.06-inch hex, this compact coupling is rated to 1200 psi and handles a temperature range of -65 to 250 degrees F. It is installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters working on compressed air, hydraulic, fuel, and fluid-transfer lines.
