The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20839C is a composite-body swivel male wye fitting designed for push-to-connect pneumatic or fluid control tubing systems. It provides a three-way branch connection with two 5/32-inch push-to-connect ports and one 1/8-inch male NPT swivel port. The positional swivel feature on the NPT end allows the fitting to be repositioned after installation without loosening the threaded connection, simplifying routing in tight spaces. Rated to 150 psi and suitable for temperatures from 32 degrees F to 140 degrees F, this fitting is appropriate for low-pressure instrumentation, pneumatic control, and light fluid-handling applications. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and OEM equipment assemblers are the primary installers.
The 20839C is used in residential and light commercial applications where a compact wye branch connection is needed in a push-to-connect tubing run. Its composite body keeps weight low at 0.025 pounds and suits environments where metal fittings are not required. The fitting measures 1.4 inches in length, 0.75 inches in width, and 0.4 inches in height, making it well-suited for panel-mounted or manifold-style assemblies with limited clearance. It is commonly found in HVAC control tubing, pneumatic actuator circuits, and low-pressure fluid distribution lines.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect composite wye fitting for low-pressure pneumatic and fluid control tubing systems using 5/32-inch OD tubing with a 1/8-inch NPT threaded port connection.
Installation is typically performed by HVAC technicians or instrumentation technicians working on low-pressure pneumatic control circuits. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. Insert tubing fully into push-to-connect ports until seated; to release, depress the collet ring while pulling the tube. Thread the NPT swivel port to the mating connection with appropriate thread sealant per manufacturer and local plumbing or mechanical code requirements, then position the swivel to the desired orientation before applying final system pressure.
