The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20826 is a composite-body swivel male wye fitting designed for push-to-connect pneumatic and fluid-control plumbing systems. It provides a three-port branch connection with two 12 mm push-to-connect ports and one 3/8-inch male global thread swivel port. The nickel-plated composite construction resists corrosion and keeps overall weight low at 0.107 pounds. Rated to 150 psi and suitable for operating temperatures between 32 degrees F and 140 degrees F, this fitting handles a broad range of light-to-medium-duty service conditions. The positional swivel feature on the threaded port allows the fitting to be repositioned after installation without disconnecting lines, simplifying routing in tight or congested assemblies. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pneumatic system installers are the primary end users.
This wye fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications where metric push-to-connect tubing meets a global-thread manifold, valve, or equipment port. Typical scenarios include compressed-air distribution panels, pneumatic controls, water treatment equipment, and HVAC accessory plumbing where mixed metric-to-imperial connections are required. The composite body makes it well-suited for installations where metal fittings would add unnecessary weight or create galvanic concerns in multi-material assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for push-to-connect composite body plumbing systems using 12 mm metric tubing with a 3/8-inch male global thread swivel port interface.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified HVAC and pneumatic system technicians. Before servicing any pressurized line, depressurize and isolate the system completely and verify zero pressure with an appropriate gauge. Push-to-connect ports require clean, square-cut tubing ends for a reliable seal - deburr all tubing cuts before insertion. The global thread swivel port should be hand-tightened into the mating female port first, then secured with a wrench to the fitting manufacturer's recommended engagement without over-torquing the composite body.
