The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20789C is a metered-out right angle flow control valve designed to regulate airflow or fluid flow in pneumatic and fluid-handling systems. The metered-out design controls flow on the exhaust side of the circuit, providing smooth, consistent actuator speed control. The composite body construction pairs with an NBR seal and a stainless steel gripper ring for reliable sealing and tube retention. Connections are 1/2 inch push-to-connect on one end and 1/2 inch male NPT on the other, allowing fast tube insertion without additional tooling. This valve is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and pneumatic system technicians in both light industrial and commercial applications.
The 20789C is suited for compressed air and compatible fluid systems operating within a pressure range up to 150 psi and a temperature range of 32 to 140 degrees F. The right angle body orientation is useful in tight installations where a straight fitting would not clear adjacent components. The acetal resin tube release collar, brass thread with white sealant, and acetal retainer and spacer components are factory-integrated, simplifying field installation. This valve is domestically manufactured and fits inline wherever metered-out flow control is required at a 1/2 inch push-to-connect port.
Designed as a direct-fit metered-out right angle flow control valve for 1/2 inch push-to-connect pneumatic and compatible fluid-handling systems. Admitted for use with air and compatible fluids within the stated pressure and temperature limits.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, pipefitter, or pneumatic systems technician. Depressurize and lock out the system completely before installing or removing any fitting. Ensure the tube is cut cleanly and squarely and inserted fully into the push-to-connect port until it seats against the internal stop before applying system pressure. Male NPT threads include brass with white sealant; verify thread engagement and check for leaks at rated working pressure before returning the system to service.
