The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20717 is a composite-body swivel male branch tee fitting designed for push-to-connect pneumatic and fluid-control tubing systems. It provides three connection points: two 5 mm push-to-connect ports and one 1/8-inch male global thread swivel port. The positional swivel on the threaded end allows the fitting to be oriented after installation without loosening the thread seal. Rated to 150 psi and suitable for operating temperatures from 32 degrees F to 140 degrees F, this fitting is well suited to light industrial, automation, and HVAC control-line applications where compact metric tubing connections are required.
This fitting is used in applications where 5 mm OD metric tubing must branch off a main line while also connecting to a threaded port on a valve, manifold, or actuator body. Its composite construction keeps weight low and resists corrosion in environments where metal fittings may be problematic. Typical install scenarios include pneumatic control circuits, compressed-air distribution panels, and instrumentation plumbing in light commercial or industrial HVAC and automation systems. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and automation technicians are the primary installers.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect branch tee for systems using 5 mm OD metric tubing with 1/8-inch global thread ported components such as valves, manifolds, and actuators.
Shut off and depressurize the air or fluid circuit completely before installing or removing this fitting. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely before inserting into the push-to-connect ports to achieve a proper seal. Thread the male global thread port into the mating component by hand first to avoid cross-threading, then tighten to the fitting manufacturer's torque guidelines using an appropriate wrench on the fitting body. Do not exceed the rated 150 psi operating pressure or the 140 degrees F temperature limit.
