The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20583C is a 90-degree long pattern swivel elbow fitting designed for push-to-connect plumbing and fluid-handling applications. One end accepts 1/2-inch push-to-connect tubing for tool-free insertion, while the other end is a 3/8-inch male NPT swivel connection with a 3/8-18 thread. The composite body keeps the fitting lightweight without sacrificing durability. Rated to 150 psi and suitable for operating temperatures from 32 degrees F to 140 degrees F, this fitting suits a wide range of low-pressure liquid and pneumatic lines. The positional swivel feature allows the NPT end to be rotated and locked in the desired orientation before final assembly. Licensed plumbers and HVAC techs typically install this fitting during new construction or retrofit work.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and pneumatic tubing runs where a 90-degree directional change is needed and space or routing constraints favor a long-pattern elbow. The push-to-connect end allows fast, reliable tube insertion without soldering, crimping, or compression tools. The swivel NPT end simplifies alignment to threaded ports on valves, manifolds, or equipment fittings. It is well suited for water supply lines, compressed-air distribution, and similar low-to-medium-pressure service within its rated temperature range.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect composite fitting for use with 1/2-inch OD tubing systems connecting to 3/8-inch male NPT threaded ports in residential and light commercial plumbing or HVAC equipment.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the system before installing or removing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tubing is cut square and deburred before insertion to achieve a proper seal. Do not exceed the fitting's rated pressure or temperature limits in service.
