The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 204SAE is a 90-degree angle needle valve designed for precise flow control in low-to-medium pressure fluid and gas systems. Built with a brass body and steel handle, this valve connects via a male flared inlet and male pipe thread (MPT) outlet, making it well-suited for refrigeration, HVAC, and plumbing service lines. It is rated to 150 psi and handles temperatures from -45 to 250 degrees F. The pressed-on handle operator provides firm, repeatable shutoff. The 5/16 x 1/4 inch nominal size fits compact service applications where space and precise metering matter.
This valve is used in residential and light commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing installations where an angled needle valve is needed for throttling or isolation on a tubing or threaded connection. The male flared x MPT configuration suits service ports, fuel lines, and refrigerant or fluid metering applications. It is domestically produced and carries a brass body construction appropriate for contact with common refrigerants, fuels, and water-based fluids within its rated pressure and temperature range. Licensed HVAC technicians and plumbers are the primary installers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install needle valve for HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems requiring a 5/16 x 1/4 inch nominal, male flared x MPT, 90-degree angle needle valve configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or plumber in accordance with applicable local codes and IFGC or IPC requirements. Shut off all system pressure and isolate the line before removing or installing this valve. Use appropriate flare tooling to ensure a leak-free flared connection, and apply thread sealant on the MPT end as required by code. Note that this valve contains lead and should not be used in potable water applications.
