The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20165 is a brass swivel run tee fitting designed for push-to-connect plumbing and fluid-handling applications. It provides a three-port connection in a compact inline tee configuration, with two push-to-connect ports on the run and one 3/8-inch male NPT port on the branch. The positional swivel feature allows the NPT branch to rotate for proper alignment during installation without disturbing the tubing connections. Rated from -10 to 200 degrees F, this fitting suits both hot and cold water lines in tight-space installations. Plumbers and HVAC technicians typically install this fitting where a rigid tee would create misalignment issues.
The 20165 is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and pneumatic systems where 3/8-inch tubing connects to a threaded male NPT port. The push-to-connect ends accept standard 3/8-inch OD tubing for fast, tool-free tube insertion. The swivel branch allows the male NPT connection to be positioned precisely before threading into a valve, sensor port, or manifold. It is appropriate for use in water supply lines, compressed air circuits, and other fluid-handling systems operating within the rated temperature range.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect brass tee fitting for 3/8-inch OD tubing systems with a 3/8-inch male NPT branch connection, suitable for plumbing, HVAC, and pneumatic fluid-handling circuits.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the water or air supply and depressurize the line before installing or removing any fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut cleanly and squarely, and that tubing is fully seated in the push-to-connect ports before pressurizing. Use a wrench on the 1/2-inch hex to thread the male NPT branch into the mating female port; do not over-torque the swivel body.
