The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20163-52 is a composite body swivel run tee designed for push-to-connect pneumatic and fluid distribution lines. It provides a branching connection with two 5/16-inch push-to-connect ports and a center 1/8-inch male NPT swivel port. The positional swivel feature allows the male NPT side to be rotated and locked into the ideal orientation before final installation, reducing strain on connected tubing. The composite body construction keeps weight low while maintaining reliable performance across a temperature range of -100 to 200 degrees F. This fitting is installed by HVAC technicians, plumbers, and fluid system technicians working with small-bore tubing assemblies.
This swivel run tee is suited for residential and light commercial applications where tubing runs require a tee branch with a threaded port off the run. Typical uses include control line distribution, pneumatic instrument tubing, and small-bore fluid transfer systems. The 5/16-inch push-to-connect ends accept standard OD tubing for tool-free insertion, while the 1/8-27 NPT swivel center port threads into a manifold, valve body, or panel-mount fitting. Its compact composite form is well suited to tight equipment enclosures and control panels.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for push-to-connect composite body tubing assemblies using 5/16-inch OD tubing and 1/8-inch NPT threaded ports.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with pneumatic or fluid distribution systems. Depressurize and isolate the tubing circuit completely before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut square and deburred before insertion into the push-to-connect ports to achieve a proper seal. Thread engagement on the male NPT swivel port should follow standard NPT hand-tight-plus-turns practice in accordance with applicable plumbing or mechanical codes.
