The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20162NIC is a nickel-plated brass swivel run tee designed for push-to-connect pneumatic and fluid line assemblies. It features three connection points: two 1/4-inch push-to-connect ports and one 1/8-inch male NPT swivel port at 1/8-27 thread. The positional swivel on the NPT port allows the fitting to be rotated after installation to align tubing runs without twisting the line. Nickel plating over brass provides corrosion resistance in demanding service environments. Licensed plumbing and HVAC technicians install this fitting in low-pressure pneumatic controls, instrumentation lines, and tubing manifolds where a tee with a rotatable NPT branch is required.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications involving push-to-connect tubing systems. Common install scenarios include pneumatic control lines, compressed air distribution branches, and instrumentation tubing runs where quick, tool-free connections are needed at two ports and a threaded swivel branch is needed at the third. The compact body measures approximately 1.65 inches wide, 0.95 inches long, and 0.45 inches tall, making it practical in tight panel or equipment spaces. At 0.045 pounds, it adds negligible weight to assembled tubing assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for push-to-connect tubing systems using 1/4-inch OD tubing and 1/8-inch NPT threaded ports in pneumatic control, HVAC, and instrumentation applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or instrumentation technicians. Always depressurize and isolate the tubing system completely before disconnecting or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tubing ends are cut cleanly and squarely and are free of burrs before inserting into the push-to-connect ports. Hand-tighten the swivel NPT port to the mating threaded port and apply appropriate thread sealant per the system manufacturer and applicable plumbing or mechanical code requirements before pressurizing.
