The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20162NA is a nickel-plated brass swivel male run tee designed for push-to-connect pneumatic and fluid plumbing systems. This three-port fitting combines two 1/4-inch push-to-connect ports with a 1/8-inch male global thread swivel center port, allowing branch connections without rotating the tubing. The positional swivel feature lets the male thread port be angled independently after installation, which simplifies routing in tight assemblies. Rated from 0 to 290 psi and suitable for operating temperatures between -4 and 176 degrees F, it suits a wide range of compressed air, instrumentation, and light fluid distribution applications. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and pneumatic system technicians are the typical installers.
This fitting is well suited for residential and light commercial pneumatic control systems, compressed air distribution panels, and instrumentation tubing runs where a tee branch must connect to a male-threaded port. The swivel design is particularly useful in control panels or equipment enclosures where tubing must change direction after the fitting is seated. The 1/8-22 thread specification and 0.51-inch hex dimension make it compatible with standard instrument-grade fittings and tubing assemblies. The push-to-connect ports accept 1/4-inch OD tubing, enabling fast, tool-free tube insertion on both run ends.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for push-to-connect pneumatic and instrumentation tubing systems using 1/4-inch OD tubing and 1/8-inch male global thread ports.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or qualified pneumatic system technicians. Before servicing any fitting in a pressurized line, depressurize the system completely and verify zero pressure with a gauge before disconnecting tubing. Push-to-connect ports require clean, square-cut tubing ends inserted fully until the tubing seats against the internal stop. Refer to applicable mechanical codes and the equipment manufacturer's instructions for maximum allowable working pressure and temperature ratings in the specific service environment.
