The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20111 is a brass swivel male branch tee designed for push-to-connect plumbing and fluid-handling systems. It provides a three-port split in a single fitting, with two 1/2-inch push-to-connect ports and one 1/2-inch male NPT swivel end. The positional swivel feature on the NPT connection allows the fitting to be rotated and locked into a final orientation without additional fittings, simplifying tight-space installs. Constructed from brass with a 1/2-14 thread and a 0.87-inch hex, it is suited for use in residential and light commercial water distribution, compressed air lines, and similar low-to-medium pressure fluid systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.
This fitting is used where a branch connection must be added to an existing push-to-connect run while maintaining a male NPT swivel outlet for a downstream component such as a valve, gauge, or appliance connection. The 2.8-inch body length and 1.16 x 1.64-inch center-to-end dimensions make it practical in panel or manifold installations where space is limited. It is rated for temperatures from -10 to 200 degrees F, covering typical domestic hot and cold water and compressed air service conditions.
Designed for use in 1/2-inch push-to-connect plumbing systems using standard push-fit tubing, with a 1/2-inch male NPT swivel outlet compatible with standard NPT-threaded fittings, valves, and equipment.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before cutting into any existing run. Ensure tubing ends are cut square and deburred before insertion into the push-to-connect ports to achieve a proper seal. Tighten the swivel NPT connection with a wrench on the hex flats - do not over-torque the brass threads.
