The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20094 is a brass push-to-connect female elbow fitting designed to join a 5/32-inch tube OD to a 1/8-inch female NPT (FNPTF) port at a 90-degree angle. The push-to-connect end accepts tubing without additional tools, while the threaded end uses a 1/8-27 thread for a secure, leak-resistant connection to NPT ports. Rated for temperatures from -10 to 200 degrees F, this fitting is suited for low-pressure fluid and pneumatic lines in HVAC, refrigeration, and light plumbing applications. Licensed HVAC technicians and plumbers install this type of fitting when transitioning from small-diameter tubing to a female NPT threaded port.
This fitting is commonly used in residential and light commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and pneumatic control circuits where a compact 90-degree directional change is needed between a small-bore tube and an NPT-ported component. Its brass construction makes it appropriate for air, water, and compatible fluid service in tight-clearance installations. The small body size of 0.37 inches and a center-to-end dimension of 0.68 x 0.82 inches make it well suited for panel-mount and inline applications where space is limited.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for systems using 5/32-inch OD tubing with a 1/8-inch female NPT threaded port connection, typical of residential and light commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and pneumatic control applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or plumber following applicable local codes. De-pressurize and isolate the line before removing or installing any fitting. Ensure tubing is cut cleanly and deburred before inserting into the push-to-connect end; damaged or rough tube ends can compromise the seal. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads in accordance with standard plumbing practice before threading into the mating port.
