The MIDLAND INDUSTRIES 20086N is a 90-degree swivel male elbow fitting designed for push-to-connect pneumatic and fluid system plumbing. It transitions a 1/4-inch push-to-connect port to a 3/8-inch male global thread swivel connection, allowing flexible positioning after installation. The fitting is machined from brass and finished with nickel plating for corrosion resistance. It is rated to 290 psi and carries a temperature range of -4 to 176 degrees F. The 0.67-inch hex flat allows standard wrench engagement during installation. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid system installers use this fitting in compressed air, refrigeration, and light fluid piping applications.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a direction change is needed between a push-to-connect tube line and a male threaded port. The 90-degree angle and swivel design allow the installer to orient the fitting after tightening, reducing stress on tubing. The push-to-connect end accepts tubing insertion without additional tools, while the global thread swivel end mates with standard global-threaded ports found on valves, manifolds, and equipment fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for push-to-connect plumbing systems using 1/4-inch OD tubing and 3/8-inch male global thread ports, typical in compressed air, pneumatic control, and light fluid distribution systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the system before installing or removing any fitting. Thread the male global swivel end into the receiving port by hand first, then tighten with a wrench on the 0.67-inch hex flat. Insert tubing into the push-to-connect end until fully seated, and verify a secure connection by applying light pull-back tension on the tube before repressurizing the system.
